Last night I finally got to see Les Blank’s Garlic is as Good as Ten Mothers. The movie makes you want to eat entire heads of roasted garlic by the dozen, stuffed into piglets. Who knew that 1980 was staffed by subtle filmmaking geniuses, gypsies and girls in those very tight, short t-shirts that don’t seem to work very well nowadays? Actually probably lots of people but being ’87 I wasn’t aware.

Also, pretty stoked about Food at 24fps, a screening series that has food movies and then snacks by fancy chefs.
